Sock Summit 2011

28 07 2011

Well, it’s finally here! Sock Summit weekend has officially begun! We almost got everything set up last night, but had to call it quits by 9:00 when we were all just too hungry and too tired to keep going!

Thanks so much to Jen & Kevin Jett of woolgirl.com for all their help and support these last few days!!! We truly couldn’t have done it without them!

Hope to see you all there!

Sock Summit 2011

20 04 2011

It’s becoming quite clear that I’d better get busy! Sock Summit is right around the corner!

For those of you who attended in 2009 and are familiar with the Knit ‘n Walk bags…you’ll be happy to know that I’ll be bringing plenty of new ones that haven’t been seen at all by the public! In addition to that handy little bag, I will be debuting several new designs and products that have been used in many of Woolgirl’s Sock Club kits over the past few years. Here’s a list of the new items just to spark your interest:

Tote bags – both large and small…Drawstring bags…Pullstring bags…Needle cases… & Mini Knit ‘n Walk bags.

I’ll be offering all of the items individually or in coordinating sets. When purchasing a complete set there will be a hefty discount on the price.

Looking forward to seeing you there!!!

Really? 2011 already?

14 01 2011

When our parents said to all of us when we were children “time goes by much faster as you get older” they weren’t kidding! Where did 2010 go? This means that Sock Summit is right around the corner. Guess it’s time to really get busy! Hope to see you there this year.

Christmas is right around the corner!!!

27 10 2010

It has come to my attention that several of you would like a Christmas themed bag…if you fall into that category, just let me know. I am currently unpacking all of my “work” items and will be glad to send you as many as you would like!

Another school year started…and I don’t have to be involved!

21 09 2010

For the first time in 15 years, I did not have to get up and cart my son out the door. He’s now moved away and in college…how time flies. Kaysia, on the other hand, now has all three of her children in school…and all the field trips that go with it. To that end, she has opted to stay very involved and does not have time to work in the shop. I certainly don’t blame her…it’s a lot more work to be a stay-at-home mom that it is to put on a suit and head into the office. Okay, I don’t really have an office, but you know what I mean.

The bags are still being made with gusto and I’m already gearing up for Sock Summit 2011!  I’ve come up with several additional designs and will get them posted on here asap. It’s not just Knit-n-Walk anymore, so if you have something in mind and need someone to create it, please let me know. No job is too small or too big!

Have a great week!
Jane

Evidence of Jane’s Insanity…

24 01 2010

Jane gave socks as gifts this year for Christmas.  I mention her insanity with much love in my heart as I hope to continue to receive socks.  She didn’t start the gift knitting until well into November.  She is truly a knitting machine.

What do you knit obsessively?

Knitting and Sand Don’t Mix

24 01 2010

I just spent a week on the beach in Ft Lauderdale.  It was wonderful.  The water was clear and warm.  The kids were well behaved.  The accommodations were perfect.  I had a wonderful time.

I did find that pool water, sand, young children, and knitting do not get along very well.

Unfortunately, we had to make our way home where it will rain until July 5th.  The good news is that I will indeed knit myself something out of the wonderful yarn I was given for Christmas.

New Year

31 12 2009

It’s New Year’s Eve.  I have been trying to get an invitation to a party all week, and, still, here I sit at my own kitchen table.   The sewing machines are quiet, the fabric un-ironed, and the zippers un-zipped.   I could be ready to go in 10 minutes if you know of a party!  Forever the optimist am I.

I’ll post a Christmas update later (when my new laptop arrives!).  I’ll even include photos of why Jane is insane.  I now have the evidence!

Happy New Year to All!

Happy Thanksgiving

26 11 2009

We are thankful for good fabric sales, hot irons, matching thread, empty garbage cans, and the finished product…of course!

We have been blessed here at Knit Purl Sew What?.  The power is still on, customers are still ordering, and our families are still listening to us talk about knitting bags!

May your day be peaceful and your hearts thankful.
